In 1981 Gene Tomlin opened up Mountain Valley Realty after working a few years as a broker. In 1990 his sister Pat Harmon came to work with him, both sharing the honest work ethic and dedication to good service for buyers and sellers of property.
In 2001 Gene retired and Pat took over as principle broker and owner, changing the name to Oakridge Real Estate. Ten years later, her daughter Sally Harmon joined the brokerage.
In 2023, at the age of 89, Pat finally retired and Sally started managing the company. Soon after, Starlight Rain Turner (Sally’s niece and Pat’s granddaughter) joined the team to carry on the multi-generational legacy of real estate excellence.

Pat Harmon is the founder of Oakridge Real Estate, taking over for her brother Gene Tomlin after his years of real estate service. Pat is retired now, but has spent most of her life in Oakridge, being a mover and shaker in the community. She helped found the Zero Clearance Theatre, was active in the Oakridge Museum, has been a council person, was in the Civil Air Patrol, and president of many organizations too numerous to list. She now enjoys an almost epic status in Oakridge for her many contributions to the community.
Sally Harmon is the present manager and principle broker of Oakridge Real Estate. She was born in Oakridge, and when the family moved nearer to Eugene, Sally was a star athlete in high school later she received a full ride scholarship to the U of O where she excelled still more in track and field. After she received her BS she became a coach at the University of Oregon until she joined her mother to sell real estate. Sally has a thorough knowledge of all aspects of real estate and enjoys sharing it with clients.
Starlight Turner was born in Oregon and is an outdoor enthusiast. She loves boating, snowboarding, hiking, rock hunting, fishing, travel and sightseeing. She is dedicated to her family, spending much time with her grandma Pat, her mom, her sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. She is a dependable, hard working addition to the Oakridge Real Estate team, and benefits buyers and sellers with her clear and concise assistance and efficiency, traveling all around Oregon to help buyers and sellers.
